Detailed OET Classes / Course Content:

OET Classes will give you better communication skills of healthcare professionals, some of point you should focus on OET Like Listening,Writing, Speaking and Reading and OET Certification will help you to migrate european countries

Listening:

Same content for all healthcare professions.

Follow and understand a range of health-related spoken materials such as patient consultations and lectures.

Reading:

Same content for all healthcare professions.

Read and understand different types of text on health-related subjects.

Writing:

Specific to profession, based on typical workplace situations.

The task is to write a letter, usually a referral letter. Sometimes, especially for some professions, a different type of letter is required: e.g. a letter of transfer or discharge, or a letter to advise or inform a patient, carer, or group.

Speaking:

Specific to profession, based on typical workplace situations.

In a private room you will take part in two role-plays. You take your professional role (as a healthcare professional) while the interlocutor plays a patient or client, or sometimes a relative or carer.

About Awarding Body:

Since 2013 OET has been owned by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment, a venture between Cambridge Assessment English and Box Hill Institute.

OET Exam Pattern:

OET provides a valid and reliable assessment of all four language skills

  • Listening – 50 minutes
  • Speaking – 20 minutes
  • Reading – 50 minutes
  • Writing – 45 minutes

With an emphasis on communication skills in medical and health professional settings. OET consists of four sub tests.

OET Results and Assessment: 

OET is an international English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals who seek to register and practise in an English-speaking environment. It provides a valid and reliable assessment of all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – with an emphasis on communication in healthcare professional settings.

How your test is scored?

You will receive a Statement of Results which shows your grade for each of the four sub-tests, from A (highest) to E (lowest). Each of the four sub-tests is assessed in a specific way.

Test Centers and Locations: 

OET is available at more than 130 venues in 40 countries, with 14 test dates per year. Note: Although there are test dates every month, registration is only open for the next three test dates at a time. Ensure you choose the correct date when you apply.
