The Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) was established under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, through Resolution No. 49/2010.
ACTVET is committed to establishing policies and standards that effectively regulate technical and vocational educational institutions in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of Education is a government ministry of the United Arab Emirates. Ministry of Education established in 1971. It has its main offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The UAE Ministry of Education started an accreditation process in October 2009 to bring public and private schools in the UAE up to international standards. The accreditation criteria have been developed by the UAE MOE in collaboration with the Centre for British Teachers Education Trust (CfBT).
