How to be an HR Business Partner
Darren has more than 11 years working as an in-house HR professional and HR Consultant with industry experience ranging in manufacturing, engineering, and business consulting in the areas of Performance Management, Talent Development, Coaching & Mentoring, Talent Acquisition, Organisational structures, and HR Operation setups.
With an international career starting in the Americas markets, Darren held several key positions including HR Consultant, and HR & Change Director. As a Consultant he successfully implemented a range of in-house human resources projects. Projects included introducing international standard practice to recruitment process, training, and development for managerial level and senior executives. He also designed workshops specific to aid senior management in a smooth transition of merger between companies, including Organisation Re-structure, Goal Alignment Strategy, Communication Skills, and Managing Employees through transition.
In the Middle East region since 2014, Darren has applied his consultancy methodology within HR departments having been involved with establishing Organisation Design, Performance Management Frameworks, Talent Management Programs, and L&D initiatives. As a registered Test User, he has been instrumental in strengthening the selection procedures of recruitment processes, and the career development paths of employees within organizations.
His interests continue to lay in providing directorship to SMEs in HR department growth and development in aligning to business strategy. Also, Darren aims to mentor local Nationals transitioning into the private sector or require support when already there. He aims to do this by liaising with education institutes, government agencies, and private companies.
