IELTS preparation course- Life Skills Training
IELTS Life Skills is a test of Speaking and Listening and is available at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Levels A1 and B1. Furthermore, it is designed to meet the requirements of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for certain visa categories and other immigration purposes.
However, before you register for your test you should visit www.gov.uk to check the English language requirements for your visa category.
What's in the test & language proficiency?
IELTS Life Skills is available at two levels:
A1 Speaking and Listening
B1 Speaking and Listening
IELTS course & Exam Format:
In particular, the new IELTS Life Skills test has been designed to meet specific immigration requirements for which applicants only need to demonstrate Speaking and Listening skills. For this occasion, you take the test with another test taker and one examiner. And finally, your own performance on both Speaking and Listening will be assessed during this one session.
For the, IELTS Life Skills at CEFR Level A1, it takes 16-18 minutes. Although, Level B1 is 22 minutes. It should be noted that, there is no break between speaking and listening components as you will be assessed on both skills at the same time.
Results for IELTS Life Skills tests
IELTS Test results are normally available within seven days of your test.
You will get one of two results:

For IELTS certification, there are no restrictions on retaking the test. However, for IELTS Life Skills, if you pass the test, you cannot retake it at the same level for a period of two years. On the occasion that you do not pass it, there are no restrictions on retaking the test.

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. Established in 1989, it is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. IELTS, specifically, is one of the major English-language tests in the world, others being the TOEFL, TOEIC, PTE:A, and OPI/OPIc.
In order to take the IELTS test, your minimum age should be at least 16 years & you must have a valid passport.

IELTS Exam Pattern:
Listening and Speaking are the same for both tests (General / Academic), but the subject matter of the Reading and Writing components differs depending on which test you take.
