CPCM / CCCM -NCMA was formed in 1959 to foster the professional growth and educational advancement of its members. NCMA is a membership-based, professional society, whose leadership is composed of volunteer elected officers. NCMA is located at 21740 Beau Meade Circle, Suite 125, Ashburn, Virginia 20147. The NCMA office is open between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm ET.

The CPCM / CCCM are certifications awarded to candidates who meet rigorous standards, including experience, education, training, and knowledge. They are professional designations of distinction, and carry the respect of their peers in the profession. NCMA certifications are competency-based, legally defensible, and are based on psycho metrically sound objective examination of knowledge. The NCMA professional certification program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and distinguish those who demonstrate knowledge essential to the practice of contract management.

CPCM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

For the CPCM, a candidate must have,

  • A degree from a regionally or Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) accredited institution at the bachelor’s level.
  • Degrees from outside the U.S will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Five years of experience.
  • 120 hours of continuing professional education; see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details.

To earn the CPCM, a candidate must take and pass the Certified Professional Contracts Manager module exam.

CCCM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

For the CCCM, a candidate must have,

  • A degree from a regionally or Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) accredited institution at the bachelor’s level.
  • Degrees from outside the U.S will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • One year of experience in the contract management field.
  • 80 hours of continuing professional education; see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details.
  • Candidates lacking only the experiential and continuing education requirements may apply for the designation and take the examination.
  • Upon successful completion of the examination, the candidate will be awarded the designation ONLY when both experiential and continuing education requirements are met.

To earn the CCCM, a candidate must take and pass the Commercial Knowledge module exam.

The exam is based on the competencies described in the Contract Management Body of Knowledge, 5th Ed, and the breakdown of questions by section is as follows:

New Professional Member/One-Year: $110
Includes a one-time $25 initiation fee. This membership is for
those individuals who are age 33 or younger on the date they join
NCMA.

Renewal New Professional Member/One-Year: $85
This membership is for those individuals who are age 33 or
younger on the date of their renewal.

Member Pro Vita: $1,250.NCMA membership for life.

Exam fee:

NCMA exam application fee: $210 Member Benefit Fee / $410 Regular Fee.

Exam provider fee: $125 per exam for United States and Canada. International test takers must pay $150 per exam. Reschedule requests made within 72 hours of an exam will result in a $100 (domestic) and $130 (international) fee.
